During the cool season, the weather in Bangladesh is the most pleasant, with sunny but not too hot days and cool but not cold nights. Therefore, the cool season is the peak travel season in Bangladesh. During this period, airfare, bus tickets, hotel prices, and attraction tickets are more expensive than in the hot and rainy seasons. If you want a great travel experience in Bangladesh, November to February is the right time to visit.

Hot Season: March- June

 Temperature: 19-34℃(66.2-93.2℉)
Clothes to wear: shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses or other light summer clothes

In contrast, the weather in the hot season is not friendly for traveling. Entering March, the weather in Bangladesh becomes scorching and the temperature peaks in April or May. In the past April 30, 2024, the highest temperature reached 43.8°C (110.84℉), the recorded highest in history. Although the sun shines most of the day, it is stifling due to the high humidity in the air. There are also different levels of precipitation in various places; at the same time, there is also a potential for cyclones in May.

It is not advised to travel to Bangladesh in the hot season. Hot weather, increasing rainfall, and cyclones may affect travel somewhat. But every coin has two sides. The hot season in Bangladesh has fewer tourists, and attraction tickets, airfare, bus tickets, and hotel prices are relatively cheaper, so visiting Bangladesh during this season is more cost-effective.

To be honest, it is not recommend traveling to Bangladesh during the rainy or monsoon season, either. From July to September, Bangladesh is usually very hot and characterized by heavy rainfall of up to 4,000 millimeters (157 inches) totally, due to which many attractions may be closed. Unfortunately, you may also experience flooding during your trip. Sometimes, heavy rain can make traveling difficult even if there are no floods. So, if you don't want to have regrets, please try to avoid these months when traveling to Bangladesh. If you insist, make sure you are well prepared for everything.

Tropical Cyclones
Cyclones in Bangladesh occur mainly in May and are more common in the southern coastal and island areas. Coastal areas also suffer from flooding during cyclones. For your safety and better travel experience, we highly recommend avoiding the cyclone weather to travel there.

Floods in Bangladesh
Under the influence of the monsoon, the rainfall in Bangladesh is usually concentrated and heavy. Coupled with the low terrain, the dense network of rivers, and poor drainage system, the rainy season, especially July and August, is highly prone to flooding. If you plan to travel to Bangladesh during the rainy season, it is vital to keep a close eye on the local weather conditions to avoid being caught in heavy rains which may put you at risk during your trip.
