The main places in our tours of Bangladesh to visit the tribal life are Chittagong Hill Tracts, Rangamati and Sylhet. Chittagong Hill Tracts area is the home of tribal groups of Bangladesh. You can see different tribal members in this area and learn their unique lifestyle. Rangamati, a district of Chittagong, has a majority of tribal groups also. You can visit the local handicraft markets there and buy some fabrics to support the local craftsmen. There are also some tribes in Sylhet, the north-eastern part of Bangladesh.
Can I take photos for the local people?
Yes, but you need to get their permission before you take photos. Bangladeshi people are one of the most welcoming people in the world. They may be a bit shy in front of the camera. You could talk with them and get to know more about them. Of course, you guide can act as the translator.
