In Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, you can explore the spectacular underwater world. It is home to about 500 species of marine creatures, including killer whales, beluga whales, and penguins. You can watch exciting performance of brilliant dolphins in the largest performance pool of Japan and observe various creatures living in the deepest part of the sea in the corridor. About 35,000 sardine gather together to hunt for food or dance like a giant creature with ever-changing shapes. In the turtle migration aquarium, you can also meet fascinating endangered creatures. 

Watching celebrations of Fireworks Festivals: Many fireworks festivals are held in Nagoya in July, called “hanabi taikai” in Japanese, among which the Fireworks Festival held at Nagoya Port on the third Monday of July (the Marine Day) is a representative. The festival symbolizes the arrival of midsummer. It is loved by citizens and offers great opportunities for visitors to experience traditional Japanese culture. On that day, you can enjoy traditional bamboo raft competitions and magnificent parades; at night, large series of fireworks are set off, illuminating the night sky for about 40 minutes.
