In November, Cyprus weather is a little cool but not cold, and the average temperature ranges from 10-22°C (50-71.6℉). The sea temperature drops to about 20°C (68℉), not very suitable to enjoy the seawater activities anymore. Besides, in November, the rainy season begins. Cyprus has an average of 42 mm of rainfall and 6 rainy days this month, and its rain usually comes suddenly and stops quickly. Therefore, an umbrella is better be brought to cope with the changeable weather. At the end of the month, it may begin to snow on the Troodos Mountains.

1. Larnaca

Napa is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Cyprus and even in Europe, welcoming a large number of tourists every summer. In fact, Ayia Napa in April is also beautiful and has a more comfortable temperature. What is the most important is that in April, there are no crowds on beaches yet, so you can have better experiences. Famous beaches in Ayia Napa include Fig Tree Beach, the most beautiful beach in Cyprus; Nissi Beach, etc.  Cyprus weather in April is suitable for hiking, so you can also go to Cape Cavo National Forest Park, which has several hiking trails with a length of 16 kilometers (10 miles). In addition, the Sea caves, Ayia Napa Sculpture Park and Love Bridge are all must-see attractions in Ayia Napa, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and take photos. Moreover, Larnaca has some small villages, where you can enjoy beautiful autumn scenery and taste local food and fresh fruits. Here are some recommendations: Tochni Village is an idyllic destination and one of the oldest villages on the island. It is suitable for a bike excursion, and the village has various cycling centers as well as horse riding places. Kalavasos Village has many vegetation such as pines and wild olives, and it also produces citrus fruits. Athienou Village is famous for its crispy and soft traditional bread, which is known locally as “Athienitiko”, pastries and dairy products, and visitors can also watch the procedure of food making. 

2. Nicosia

In terms of historical sites, please do not miss the following places in Nicosia: (1) The Old Town of Nicosia can be explored in 2-3 hours, and it retains a lot of old European-style houses. (2) Famagusta Gate is actually part of the Greek wall and retains the shape of the wall. (3) Laiki Giottnia is a charming pedestrian street where you can see traditional Cyprus architecture and learn local culture. 

If you go to Nicosia, please do not forget to taste their special coffee and “Zivania”, a type of white wine. Moreover, November is just the holding time of the Zivania Festival, when you can taste Zivania and various local food. In 2024, it will be held on November 3 in Alona.

3. Paphos

Paphos is a city with a long history, and here are some recommended attractions. First, you can go to visit the Old Town, where you can find medieval, Ottoman and neoclassical architecture. Second, Paphos Archaeological Park is recommended, where you can see monuments from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages, Roman villas, as well as Tombs Of The Kings. Other than these, Paphos Castle is also worth visiting.


Tips:

1. Remember to bring an umbrella. If you forget and it happens to rain, don’t be anxious and find somewhere to shelter yourself from the rain, which usually stops quickly.
2. In November, fruits like mangos, pomegranates and guava in Cyprus ripen, remember to have a taste.
