Thailand Weather in December

When you travel to Thailand in December, you should take some breathable cloths including t-shirts, shorts, light pants, cotton fabrics and so on. In addition, you should do a great sunscreen job to protect yourself from UV rays. The night climate in the north is a little cold, so bring an overcoat if you plan to go there.

Bangkok
It is a fascinating city with rich cultural heritages and modern atmosphere.

Wat Phra Kaew is one of the most famous Buddhist temples and one of the country's three national treasures. It is the place where the Thai royal family worships jade Buddha statues and holds religious ceremonies. Every year in the cool, hot and rainy season, the King comes to the temple to help Buddha change cloths.

Wat Pho is the oldest and largest temple in Thailand and the origin of traditional Thai massage. This temple has two highlights. One is the largest reclining Buddha in Bangkok. It is difficult to take a panoramic picture. The other is that people can enjoy the most authentic Thai massage here.

Tip: It is forbidden to speak loudly and climb any building in the temple. You can take photos with monks, but please don't touch their hands and body.

Pattaya
Once a small fishing village, Pattaya is now famous for its blue sea and ladyboy shows. It earns a reputation as “Oriental Hawaii”. The beach area is so fascinating with the gentle slope and white sand. Northern areas are quiet and there are various beautiful resort hotels suitable for those who want to enjoy a quiet holiday. While in the south, there are many bars and commercial places, welcomed by young people.  

Chiang Mai
There are some famous religious relics worth visiting. For example, Wat Phra That. It is a Buddhist holy place featuring its iconic dragon patterns on two sides of the mountain road. Wat Chedi Luang is another famous holy place located in the center of ancient city of Chiang Mai; there is a notable pagoda in the temple. You can also go to the Nimmanahaeminda Road loved by young people. This street gathers various handicraft shops, restaurants, elegant cafes, nightclubs, etc.
