It is also advisable to enjoy autumn scenery and take a fresh breath in natural sights like Kolsai Lake, Big Almaty Lake, Kaindy Lake and Ile-Alatau National Park in Almaty.
3. If you are a birdwatching and photography enthusiasts, don’t miss the thousands of pink-feathered flamingos at Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve in September. You may need 2 hours to get there by car from Astana.

4. If you are into hunting, Kazakhstan provides a valuable chance as one of a few countries making hunting legal. It offers diverse game animals, such as marals, wolves, roe deer and wild boars. By the way, the best hunting period of roe deer is from August to October. Good physical condition is required since you may trek through rugged terrain.
