Clothing Guide for Your Turkey Trip in June

Turkey June Clothes
To make the best memories of your Turkey trip, photo-friendly and comfortable outfits are recommended for different regions.

Central & Eastern Turkey including Cappadocia:
Considering the large temperature difference in this area, long-sleeved T-shirts, trench coats, leather jacket and jeans are all excellent choices. For those who plan to ride hot air balloons in the early morning, you need a thick coat to keep warm. In addition, light trousers and a pair of comfortable shoes are more suitable and convenient to visit karst landforms.

Other Regions including Istanbul, Antalya & Pamukkale:
It’s already a little hot in these cities, so wearing short-sleeved shirts, dresses, and shorts will help you to temper the heat during the daytime. If you prefer long-sleeved clothing, opt for light, breathable shirts and trousers that are both sun-proof and comfortable. Since the UV rays are strong in these regions, sunglasses, wide-brimmed hats, and sunscreen are very essential. Add a light coat to keep warm in the morning and night.

Clothes in local or bohemia style is recommended for photo shooting in Istanbul. And it should be noted that sleeveless clothing, shorts and skirts above the knee are not allowed in the mosques, and women are required to wear a headscarf to enter. Furthermore, a bright dress can make you stand out from attracting sceneries in Antalya and Pamukkale.

Tourism Rate:

1. Istanbul

Istanbul in June is less crowded because local residents are traveling during their longest vacation. Additionally, the climate is not too hot yet, making it an excellent time to visit this ancient city that bridges Europe and Asia. Of course, Istanbul’s ancient buildings could help you grasp its past. Topakapi Palace is a magnificent example of Ottoman (1299-1923) architecture, and its museum displays an extensive collection of jewels, clocks, and porcelains that depict the luxury lifestyle of the Sultan in those times. While retaining many elements of the Ottoman architecture style, the Dolmabache Palace looks more imposing by incorporating with Baroque and Neoclassical styles. Further, masterpieces of Islamic architecture here include the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, whose beautiful murals, Arabic calligraphy, Turkish carpets, and blue tiles all contribute to the soul of this city. Also, you must have a Bosporus Strait cruise, during which you can not only travel from Europe to Asia in a single day, but also view Galata Tower and Dolmabache Palace. It is highly recommended to take the cruise at dusk, and the stunning sunset will undoubtedly be among forever memories.
