► Three Essential Items for Entry:
1. Passport valid for 6 months or more.
2. Valid Mexican visa (if required).
3. FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple, or Mexico Tourist Card): Apply and pay online beforehand and print it out (recommended), or complete and pay the fee (USD 20 to 40) upon arrival.

► Money Matters: Insider Tip on Mexican Peso
The local currency Mexican peso (MXN) reigns supreme, with 1 US dollar equal to about 17 pesos (as of February 2024). You can convert dollars to pesos upon arrival, but airport rates tend to be less favorable. Head into downtown for better deals, or withdraw pesos with your debit card from ATMs in your hotel vicinity. Traveling with us, you don’t need hefty cash as most expenses are already prepaid. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards are widely accepted, so consider using them for most expenses. Just exchange smaller amounts of pesos as needed for personal spending and tips.
