Best Time to Visit Kuching: From April to September 

The ideal time to visit Kuching is between April and September, when rainfall is relatively low and there is plenty of sunshine. 

This is the perfect time for exploring national parks like Bako National Park, where the reduced rain makes wildlife spotting easier, as animals are less likely to hide because of the rain. Additionally, transportation in and out of Bako National Park is by boat. The less rainy weather makes the river calmer and access to the park smoother. 

For trekking enthusiasts, the drier climate during this period ensures that the park trails are in better conditions, making hikes more enjoyable. Kuching is home to vast, undeveloped rainforests, and exploring these wild rainforests requires both good trail conditions and pleasant weather.

However, keep in mind that occasional showers are still possible, so it's always wise to bring a raincoat or waterproof jacket just in case.
