Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo, Airport Pick up
Upon your arrival at the Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, our English speaking driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

Accommodation: San Cristobal Hotel - Ivato Airport (3 stars)

Day 2: Transfer to Andasibe, Visit Reserve Peyrieras Madagascar Exotic
The driver guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive for 4 hours along RN2 (Route national 2) to Andasibe. On the way, take a short tour at the Reserve Peyrieras Madagascar Exotic, which shelters Madagascar’s some most treasured animals, like sifaka lemurs and the biggest chameleons Calumma parsonii. On arrival in Andasibe, check into the hotel. At night, accompanied by a local guide, walk around near the hotel to find nocturnal lemurs, reptiles, and chameleons.

Day 3: Wildlife Tour to Analamazaotra National Park
In the early morning, go to the Analamazaotra National Park for a stroll. Here, you will find more diurnal species of lemurs, including Indri Indri, the biggest existing lemurs, known for their loud wails that can be heard more than one mile away. It’s also interesting to learn that the number of white patches on their black fur varies from region to region! Spending most of time living high up in the trees, Indris are now critically endangered mainly due to the clearing of their natural habitat for agriculture. Seize the chance to say hello to them! Later, we will transfer you back to the hotel for lunch and visit Lemur's Island and a reptile farm at Vakona Private Reserve in the afternoon.

Day 4: Drive from Andasibe to Antsirabe
Today, we will drive about 8 hours to Antsirabe, the third largest city in Madagascar. We will stop for lunch on our way. Upon arrival, check into the Plumeria Hotel and have a good rest. As the city has cool climate and is famous for hot spring bath, why not have a soak to invigorate yourself?

Day 5: Antsirabe: Visit Local Villages and Crater Lakes
Let’s drive to Betafo and spend three hours visiting local villages and rice fields, which the district is attractive for. In the afternoon, drive to two crater lakes near Antsirabe to take in their breathtaking natural beauty. In the end, our driver guide will escort you back to the hotel.

Day 6: Transfer to Ranomafana, with Stopover at Ambositra
Today, we will drive along the RN7 national road to Ranomafana. Before getting there, we will stop by the town of Ambositra, to appreciate its UNESCO-honored native woodcrafting art. While in Ranomafana, check into the hotel, take a break, and go on an evening walk to spot lemurs, frogs and different genera of chameleons that only appear at night.

Day 7: Ranomafana National Park Excursion
In the morning, transfer to the Ranomafana National Park, which boasts rainforests on mountains and was established for the discovery of bamboo lemurs, a species previously thought to be extinct. Explore around in the company of our driver guide and a local park guide. After the tour, return to the hotel for lunch. You are free to spend the rest of the day as you like.

Day 8: Visit Anja Community Reserve, Drive to Ranohira
After breakfast, head to Ranohira. We will pass by Fianarantsoa and Ambalavao and pay a visit to Anja Community Reserve first, where you get to see ring-tailed lemurs to your heart’s content. Then we will reach Big South Region and check into the hotel on the edge of the Isalo National Park, our next destination, in Ranohira.

Day 9: Full Day Excursion in Isalo National Park
We will have a full day excursion in Isalo National Park, which features spectacular rugged terrain formed by eroded sandstone formations. Meet the local guide first who will lead you through the park. You will find abundant succulent flora here, and be able to spot up-close many ring-tailed lemurs and sifakas. Lunch is a simple packed lunch enjoyed at the camping site of Namazà. After today’s sightseeing, the driver guide will escort you back to the hotel.

Day 10: Road Trip from Ranohira to Ifaty
Today, our driver guide will escort you on a 5.5-hour road trip from Ranohira to Ifaty on the southwest coast. We will pass by the town of Ilakaka, known for being one of the biggest sapphire deposits in the world. After arriving in Ifaty, you will be led to the hotel to check in. Then, you can freely arrange the rest of the day.

Day 11: Half-day Tour to Reniala Reserve
In the morning, a 20-minute drive will take you to the Reniala Reserve, a small protected piece of spiny forest. On this oddest habitat on the earth, you can find an entire family of bizarre spiny octopus trees, the oldest and largest baobab of Ifaty, some rare species of tortoises, and so on. Drive back to the hotel after the tour. The afternoon is your free time.

Day 12: Free Day in Ifaty
Today is a leisure day. You can just relieve fatigue in the hotel, or go for a walk and experience some self-financed projects in the lagoon area of Ifaty, the ideal place to relax after ten days’ trip. It won’t disappoint you with its dreamy yet often-neglected golden beaches, turquoise waters, and wildlife diversity. Try a snorkel safari if you are interested!

Day 13: Fly from Ifaty to Antananarivo; Visit Ambohimanga
Our driver will send you to the Toliara Airport for your flight to Antananarivo. After you arrive, our local driver guide will lead you to visit the King’s Palace on the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, where King Andrianampoinimerina (reigned 1787 – 1810) who initiated the unification of the island of Madagascar once lived, and then transfer you to the hotel.

● Note: The flight is subject to change due to uncontrollable factors. If it is delayed until the afternoon, we will visit the King’s Palace tomorrow in the morning.
