Have Dinner in Ureshino Onsen Hotel
Located in Ureshino City of Saga, Kyushu, Ureshino Onsen is one of the three most famous hot springs in Japan that have the function of smoothing and brightening skin. The other two are Hinoue Onsen in Shimane Prefecture and Kitsurengawa Onsen in Tochigi Prefecture. Except for hot springs, you can also find the largest hot spring street of west Kyushu in Ureshino City, and it’s renowned for Ureshino tea and hot spring tofu.

Why does Ureshino Onsen has beauty effect?

Ureshino Onsen has alkaline water. Usually hot springs with alkaline water are believed to be able to brighten skin. That’s for the reason that alkaline hot springs tend to contain more sulfur and calcium carbonate than other hot springs. And these substances are what make your skin look better. In addition, hot springs also have some effects on alleviating arthritis and anemia.

In Legend, Ureshino Onsen Has Healing Effect.

Ureshino Onsen has a history of about 1,200 years. According to Japanese legend, Empress Jingū came to Ureshino Onsen when returning from battle fields, and she saw a white crane soaking its wounded wings in the hot spring. Then the crane was recovered and flew away. Empress Jingu was amazed by the function of Ureshino Onsen and gathered injured soldiers to soak in the hot spring. To everyone’s surprise, the water successfully healed the soldiers.
