October to February is the peak season to travel this city. Kerala is named among ‘Ten Paradises of the World’ by the Traveller magazine published by National Geographic Society in 2012. Kerala receives most tourists from October to February as the weather in Kerala in this period make it the best time to visit Kerala. The state has biodiversity parks, Western Ghats, rain forests, large coastal region, beaches, backwaters, mountain ranges, palaces, historical places, religious institutions, lakes and many more. These tourist destinations are best to watch and experience during this season. So, tourist across the countries choose winter as the best time to visit Kerala. 

The period between March and August receives very less number of tourists as it is summer season in Kerala and Indian summer is considered extremely hot. Though Kerala is moderately hot as compared to the rest of the Indian states, there are still very less tourists prefer this season and this cannot turn out to be the best season to travel to Kerala. However, less crowded tourist spots allow you to have a great time. The tour can become economical as charges for travelling, stay, and food all decreases due to slack season. The time that cannot be considered as Kerala travel season vary as per customer’s choice. If one does not like to visit places when crowded, then he should avoid visiting the state during winter as it is the most visited season of the year. People who hate dirty and wet atmosphere should avoid visiting in monsoon as Kerala receives heavy rains in monsoon. Other than this, during the period between March to June, the temperature rises to 35°C (95°F), making them the hottest months of the year. So, if you are not ok with sunny and warm days, you can avoid these months.
