Daocheng Yading Airport

With the elevation of 4411 meters, Yading Airport is by far the highest civilian airport in the world. Built in 2013, the Airport has four aircraft stands, a terminal of 5,000 square meters, and a runway of 4,200 meters (4593 yards). The terminal has three floors with the first floor as check-in hall and arrival hall, the second floor as waiting hall and the third floor as the commercial hall.

1. Daocheng Yading Nature Reserve

Daocheng is located in the south end of Ganzi Prefecture, with Yading Nature Reserve as its core scenic area. This scenic spot is mainly composed of three snow peaks, which are Xiannairi, Jiangbianyang and Xianaduo. Surrounded by rivers, lakes and alpine meadow, its scenery maintain the absolute pure. Due to its unique landforms and ecological landscape, it is known as "the spirit of Shangri-la" and "the last Shangri-la" and reputed by international friends as the "last pure land on earth". The scenic area not only has the magnificent and sacred snow mountain, but also has the vast meadow, the colorful forest and the blue and transparent sea, truly a paradise for photographers. Almost all the beautiful things of the snowy plateau gather here, making people linger on.

Tips:
a. Duo to the high altitude, it is not suitable for passengers who has serious heart disease, asthma and other diseases.
b. Take anti-altitude medicines in advance, and carry some multivitamins, glucose products and the commonly used drugs; bring enough clothes, rain gears, flashlights, etc.
c. Respect the local folk customs and protect environment when entering the Tibetan areas.

2. Haizi Mountain

Located in the northern plateau area of Daocheng County, it is the largest remains of ancient ice body on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, known as "Daocheng ancient ice cap" in the world. The reserve covers an area of 3,287 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 4,500 meters. The highest point in the area, "Guoyinrize", is 5,020 meters above sea level. There are 1,145 lakes of all sizes in the region, the scale density of which is unique in China, hence the name “Haizi Mountain”.
