The temple is dedicated to Shree Krishna. Millions of devotees worship this holy land where Krishna was born thousands of years ago. The temple consists of a small reservoir named Potra Kund, where baby Krishna took his first bath. Krishna Janmashtami, Deepavali, and Holi are some of the famous Hindu festivals celebrated in a grand manner in this temple.

Radha Kund


Radha Kund is a water reservoir dedicated to the first love of Shree Krishna, Radha. Shree Krishna and Radha spent a lot of time near this reservoir. The Kund is often visited by lovers to take a dip in the holy water. Radha Kund is a sacred place, where people take a dip in the water to wash off sins. It is also believed the water helps married women in conception, who are not able to have babies.

Prem Mandir


Prem Mandir, also known as the Temple of Love, is a grand temple built by famous Vaishnavite Shri Kripalu Maharaj. The 55-acre grand temple located in Vrindavan is dedicated to the avatars of Lord Vishnu - Rama and Krishna. The temple is dedicated to the love of Shree Rama and Sita, Shree Krishna and Radha. Prem Mandir is quite popular as the temple is entirely constructed of Italian marble.

The deities in the temple are Shree Radha Govind and Shree Sita Ram. The temple is visited by lovers in huge numbers to seek the blessings of Lord. The famous temple is decorated with lighting in the evening and night time, which glorifies the look of the grand temple.

Ranganatha Temple


Ranganatha temple is a very famous temple in Vrindavan dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is also known as Ranganatha Swamy in South Indian Hindu scriptures. The architecture of the Ranganatha temple is in typical South Indian style, built in the year 1851 by Seth Radha Krishnan, a Vaishnavite from South India.

The temple is dedicated to Ranganatha Swamy and his avatars Shri Narasimha, Shree Rama, Shree Venugopala (Krishna), etc. The temple has a unique architecture that is different from the North Indian architecture.

Only Hindus are allowed into the temple sanctum, however, Non-Hindus can enter the courtyard, until the first two gateways. Devotees in huge numbers visit the unique temple to worship the Lord and offer their prayers.

Govind Devji Temple


Govind Devji Temple is another historical place in Vrindavan, the twin town of Mathura, which is closely related to Shree Krishna. The temple is constructed in the village where Shree Krishna spent a huge part of his childhood.

The temple was built several years ago by a king with the red sandstone. The king constructed this temple to dedicate it to Shree Krishna. The temple depicts the childhood of Shree Krishna. There are stories that suggest that the Mughal invader Aurangzeb wanted to destroy this sacred Hindu temple. The temple has a unique architecture and it is believed that the idol in this temple, which was shifted to Jaipur later, resembles the exact looks of Shree Krishna.
